Site description (2000 baseline):

A small coastal wetland, consisting of a former estuary, which lies adjacent to a Belgian IBA of the same name (Het Zwin) and also to Westerschelde (site 032).

National None International High128 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Nederlandse Zwingebied, 128 ha).
