Surveyed in 2002 – Jennings et al. Site description: Evans (1994) and in Jennings (2003) Phoenix 19. (Does not include the isolated island Jabal al Tayr (to the north east) which has never been visited by ornithologists but observers on passing ships suggest large numbers of seabirds particularly gulls and boobies, may breed. NB this island is a volcano which last erupted in 2007).
