Deep ravines with the Wutach and Gauchach streams. Gravel-banks support Petasites communities. Habitat-types include Alnus riverine forest, ravine forest (Fagus, Abies-Fagus and Pinus-Abies), Salix scrub, dry grassland, lightly agriculturally-improved meadows, cliff communities, fallow land, orchards and gravel-pits.
