Site description (2000 baseline):

A freshwater marsh holding one of the largest reedbeds (Phragmites) in Schleswig-Holstein. Human activities include traditional reed-cutting (`Other' land-use).

National Partial International HighIBA overlaps with Nature Reserve. IBA overlaps with Special Protection Area.
