The least spoiled dune area in the Netherlands, located between Oostvoorne (close to 021) and Haringvliet (024). The area includes two lakes (Breedewater, Quackjeswater) and mesotrophic dune-slacks surrounded by Alnus woodland and wet dune-valleys. Hunting does not include wildfowl. This site, together with sites 020 and 023, formed part of a single, larger site (former site NL046) in the previous pan-European IBA inventory (Grimmett and Jones 1989).
A small dune-slack holds breeding Platalea leucorodia and Phalacrocorax carbo.
