Site description
A large bog, now damaged by peat extraction and drainage. Part of the area has been invaded by Betula and Salix and part is grazed by cattle.
Key biodiversity
Fomerly Tringa glareola, Circus pygargus, Caprimulgus europaeus and Crex crex bred at the site. Lanius collurio, also listed on Annex I of the EC Birds Directive, may still breed.
