Site summary
This upland site comprising of upland heath, bog and commercial forestry borders Laois and Offaly. It provides excellent nesting and foraging habitat for breeding Circus cyaneus and supports c.5% of the national population. This site is also likely to be of national importance for breeding Falco columbianus.
