Site description (baseline)
An 18th century fish-pond with near-natural water-fringe vegetation including reedbeds (Phragmites), sedge, wet grassland and Alnus carr woodland.
Key biodiversity
This is an important area for breeding and passage waterbirds. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aythya nyroca (passage).
