It originates from the Indonesia Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and falls within the Pacific, Western Central FAO ocean region. The site covers an area of 20391 km2 and is 66 km away from the closet coastline. The depth ranges from 105 to 5197 m, with a mean annual wind speed of 1.36 m/s, mean annual sea surface temperature falls between 27.89 and 28.16 °C and mean annual chlorophyll-a concentrations found to range between 0.19 and 0.33 mg/m3.
