Site summary
The site boundary is based upon a seaward extension of 10 km around Wolouna, Ahnd Atoll to encompass the foraging range of IBA threshold numbers of Black Noddy based upon a 1996 population estimate of 22,500 individuals from de Korte, J. and Meltofte, H. 1997. Notes on breeding sites of Pelecaniformes in Micronesia. Bird Conservation International 7: 287-290, and a seaward extension of 80 km around Pohnpei Marine to encompass the foraging range of IBA threshold numbers of Brown Noddy based upon a 1983 population estimate of 82295 individuals Engbring, J., Ramsey, F.L. and Wildman, V.J. 1990.
