Area located near the town of Pinega in the Arkhangelsk region.
Habitat and land use
Area located in the European taiga zone. Main habitat is coniferous pine and sprus forests, with birch growth on areas formerly logged. Small bogs are found throughout the forest.

The entire IBA is included within a State Nature Reserve.
