Site description
An area of raised bog adversely affected by intensive agriculture in the past. However, there is a good chance for restoration. The site also includes grassland and heathland habitats.

Key biodiversity
Criterion C7 has been applied as the site is an officially proposed Special Protection Area and full bird data are not available. The site holds Circus cyaneus (20 wintering), Asio flammeus (breeding and wintering), and Gallinago gallinago (15 breeding pairs).
