A rugged mountain chain which forms high cliffs along the south-east coast of Skyros. The dominant vegetation is phrygana with small patches of grassland and Quercus
This is an important site for seabirds, raptors and species associated with scrub.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The most important threat is overgrazing of the phrygana. This is also preventing regeneration of the remnant patches of woodland. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.
