Site description (baseline)
Located 160 km south-east of Kashi (Kaxgar) City and 1,050 km south-west of Urumqi. The IBA is on the lower Yarkant River, in a densely-populated agricultural area.
Key biodiversity
Non-bird biodiversity: Animals include Vulpes vulpes, Gazella subgutturosa, Euchoreutes naso and Dipus sagitta.
