Site summary
The site boundary is based upon a precautionary seaward extension of 25 km around Manui, Kamaka, Makaroa to encompass the foraging range of IBA threshold numbers of Murphy's Petrel based upon a 1996 population estimate of 30 individuals and White-throated Storm-petrel based upon a 1996 population estimate of 1050 individuals, as well as potential rafting areas of IBA threshold numbers of Christmas Shearwater based upon a population estimate of 1950 individuals.
