Site description (2000 baseline)
A wilderness area comprising three adjacent fjelds in central Lapland. The landscape is very diverse, supporting large aapa mires, natural and very old boreal forests, stony hill-slope forests, numerous streams with small valleys and treeless mountain heath.

Key biodiversity
An important area for boreal avifauna.
