Site description (baseline)
A mountain area in central Italy, north of the town of Tivoli, mainly covered by broadleaved forest. There are rocky cliffs, alpine grasslands, streams and cultivated areas. The main land-use is agriculture, including stock-rearing.
Key biodiversity
The site is also notable for breeding raptors and passerines (especially warblers), based on a qualitative ornithological survey in the 1991 breeding season.
