Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Threats come from new tourist developments, intensified agriculture and the cutting of reedbeds to provide fodder for livestock (`Other' threats). Circus pygargus nests in the cereal fields but these are usually harvested before fledging. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.
