A reservoir on the River Dnepr. This site also includes parts of the River Prip'yat, with numerous lakes and mires.

The northern part of this site lies within the special zone (30-km- radius) centred on the Chernobyl atomic power-station, and thus is subject to very high levels of radioactive contamination (`Other' threat).
