A tract of mixed and deciduous forest, in central Lithuania, most of which is managed.
An important site for breeding birds of prey (especially Aquila pomarina), Ciconia nigra (no population estimate), and rare woodpecker species in Lithuania. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Haliaeetus albicilla (on passage), Crex crex (5-6 calling males).
