Site description
A large moorland and peatbog with some forest plantations and agricultural areas; the extent of agricultural land is poorly known and may be significantly more than 5-10%.

Key biodiversity
Several species listed on Annex I of the Birds Directive breed at the site including Grus grus, Tringa glareola, Asio flammeus, Caprimulgus europaeus and Lanius collurio.
