Site description (baseline)
Forest area in Gunung Inerie (2245 m) (Monk can only be found in the southern and western part of mountain slopes that surrounded by grassland, garden and plantation.There are Eucalyptus plantation (Ampupu plant) and bamboo in northern slopes.The forest in south of Gunung Inerie slope with altitude below 800 m already converted to plantation. Most of the forests are located on elevation between 1000-1500 m (60%).

Key biodiversity
Information about bird in this area is very limited. Follow-up survey is needed to asses bird diversity. Wallace's Scopsowl Otus silvicola and Flame-breasted Sunbird Nectarinia solaris occured in Bajawa probably live in this area. Around 12 Flores Green Pigeons Treron floris observed on Ficus spp. in Bena village, Coracina dohertyi is common in this area (Trainor & Lesmana 2000).
