Site description
Located in the northern part of Beijing City, the IBA is part of the Yan Shan mountains. Long-term conservation has allowed the vegetation to regenerate, including natural broadleaf forest, coniferous plantation, natural scrub and grassland. Vegetation cover is over 70%.
Key biodiversity
Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include Vulpes vulpes, Mustela sibirica and Naemorhedus goral.
