Site summary
A mountainous area in the southern foothills of the Alps. The site is dominated by deciduous forests. There are also small villages with areas of traditional agriculture.
An important site for species associated with agriculture and forest in the foothills and montane zone. Wryneck, Green Woodpecker and Common Redstart occur in high densities.
The main threat is abandonment of traditional agriculture, which results in the loss of hay-meadows as they succeed to scrub and forest.
