An area of mixed and coniferous forests, ponds, heathland and streams.
The site is important for breeding raptors, and is the only regular breeding site in continental France for Pandion haliaetus. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Haliaeetus albicilla (wintering).
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are recreation and forest management activities, which extend into the breeding season, causing disturbance. However, the forests are managed to protect Pandion haliaetus nests.
