Key biodiversity
The most important site in France for breeding Fulmarus glacialis and Rissa tridactyla.

Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
There is considerable pressure from tourism leading to increasing disturbance.

Protected areas
National High International Partial1,200 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Falaise du Bessin occidental, 1,200 ha).
