Site description (2000 baseline)
A forest predominantly composed of Quercus, Carpinus, Populus, Tilia and Acer. Most trees are 30-80 years old. There is a well-developed shrub layer. Grasslands, agricultural fields and orchards surround the forest.

Key biodiversity
This is an important site for breeding and passage raptors. Species of global conservation concern that do not meet IBA criteria: Aquila heliaca (passage) and Crex crex (4-6 breeding pairs).
