Site description (2000 baseline):

An area of hills and mountains in north-eastern Italy, with large areas of agriculture and broadleaved woodland. Agriculture and forestry are the main land-uses.

An important breeding area for Crex crex. The only breeding site in Italy for Strix uralensis.

Abandonment of land management is the main threat to Crex crex.
