Marine pollution from oil tankers (`Other' threats, above) is the major threat to seabird breeding colonies and wintering populations.



Protected areas
National High International High1,750 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (Cap Frehel, 1,750 ha). 2,020 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Cap Frehel, 2,020 ha).
