This site, at the occidental coas between Lisboa e Setúbal, includes a litoral band of rocky cliffs, a terrestrial area of shrubland and open fields and also a band of ocean. The cliffs are high and give good nesting habitat for some bird species. The occidental coast is exoposed to winds and marine flowings.
This is a very important place for migrating passerines during autumn migration, and also for birds who nest in cliffs, like Falco peregrinus.
