Site description (baseline)
A rugged area of limestone rock and a narrow gorge. The vegetation consists of Pinus forest, scrub and alpine grasslands. The main human activities are game hunting, forestry, apiculture (`Other' land-use, below) and some livestock-farming.
Key biodiversity
This is an important site for cliff-nesting raptors and forest birds.
