Site description
The IBA covers grazed, periodically flooded meadows situated along the River Blackwater.

First identified in 1989. Descriptive text and bird data refer to the 2000 Inventory.

Key biodiversity
The site is important for wintering wildfowl. Anser albifrons are the flavirostris subspecies.
