The Botriviervlei and Kleinmond Estuary system lies between the coastal towns of Kleinmond and Onrus on the southwest coast of the Western Cape extending about 1 400 ha. Although the Botriver drains a relatively small catchment, it forms one of the largest coastal, open-water lagoons in the Western Cape.
