Site description
An alluvial flood-plain in the meander zone of the upper Rhine. Former riverbeds are surrounded by broad reed Phragmites fringes, softwood riparian forest and relict hardwood riverine forest. Other lowland habitat-types include arable land, meadows, groves and hedges.
