Site description (2004 baseline):

Fish-pond complex with a small area of wet meadows, surrounded by farmland and mixed forest. Listed as IBA since 1994 [2, 3, 1]. Fully protected: there is a 100% overlap with the newly designated Skrunda fish-ponds restricted nature reserve, a candidate SPA.
