Site description (2004 baseline):

A complex of wetlands (open raised bogs with elements of transition mire or fen, and lakes) and predominantly mixed and deciduous forests. Listed as an IBA since 1994 [5, 6, 1]. High protection level: there is a 91.6% overlap with Augstroze restricted nature reserve, a candidate SPA.
