The coastline around St David's and Strumble Heads is varied and highly indented with many offshore islands and stacks. The cliffs vary in aspect and exposure to prevailing winds, with some near-vertical faces up to 140 m in height. The IBA is important for breeding seabirds and other cliff-nesting species.
