Site location and context
A bay with mudflats, rocky coastlines and beaches. Human activities include fishing, recreation (including sailing) and there is a harbour.



Key biodiversity
The site holds 20,000 or more waterbirds in winter, on a regular basis (including Podiceps nigricollis 1,900; Anas penelope 2,270; Calidris alpina 4,815).



Protected areas
National Partial International Partial6,800 ha of IBA covered by Hunting Reserve (Baie de Daoulas et Anse du Poulmic, 6,800 ha). 6,800 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Rade de Brest: Baie de Daoulas et Anse du Poulmic, 6,800 ha).
