Cinca river rice fields and steppe area


Site description (2000 baseline):

Site location and context
An area of irrigated rice and cereal cultivation crossed by three gullies with reedbeds (Phragmites). A small area of natural steppe vegetation remains.



Key biodiversity
This is an important site for breeding waders, raptors and passage Grus grus.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threat is agricultural intensification.
