An island close to Mallorca's western tip, with very high limestone cliffs, dominated by Mediterranean scrub.
This is an important site for breeding seabirds, Falco eleonorae
and migrant passerines.
Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threat is from increased tourism, disturbance to Larus audouinii
and occasional poaching of F. eleonorae
. Larus cachinnans
is culled annually.
Partial290 ha of IBA covered by Natural Park (Isla Dragonera, 290 ha). 975 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Isla Dragonera-La Trapa, 975 ha).
