Site description (2003 baseline)
Topography is hilly with Salahutu as the highest point (1038 m). There afre two villages in this area located in the coastal area. Most of the people work as dry land farmer and fisherman. Main comodities are clove, nutmeg, cacao and marine products.

Key biodiversity
Cacatua moluccensis was found in this area and probably already extinct from this area.

Non-bird biodiversity: Hydrosaurus amboinensis, Phalanger orientalis arientalis (Hitipeuw & Tuhumury 1999 Obs.pri.).
