Site location and context
Pulau Moyo is small island (329 km2). Southern part of the island is hilly with elevation between 85-160 m.

Habitat and land use
Mangrove: dominated by Sonneratia, Rhizophora and BruguieraDeciduous rain forest: covered most of the northern part of the island. Dominated by Calophyllum, Cripteronis and Eugenia.Grassland: covered southest and mid-area of the island.Plantation and secondary vegetation.Generally, main habitat is tropical dry forest on limestone.

Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
Shifting agriculture, hunting and timber collection for trade (Trainor, Beudels and Liman (1981) concluded that status alteration from Wildlife Sanctuary to Hunting Park can be regarded as a threat.

Protected areas
Previously it is a Wildlife Sanctuary (Game Reserve) based on SK. Menteri Pertanian No. 308/Kpts/Um/8-1985 (18765 ha) (MacKinnon status has been change to Hunting Park (22250 ha) based on SK. Menteri Kehutanan No. 308/Kpts-II/1986 on 9 April 1986 (Anon 1995b, Trainor
