Site location and context

Located around 40 km east of Bogor.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Hylobates moloch, Presbytis comata and Trachypithecus auratus (Erftemeijer 1987, Zainudin 1996, Nijman 1997).

Habitat and land use

Forested hills above the artificial lake of Jatiluhur (MacKinnon et.al.1982). Covered by lowland rainforest and lower mountain rainforest (Erftemeijer 1987, Whitten et.al.1996)

Pressure/threats to key biodiversity

Forest cutting is the main threat in this site (MacKinnon et.al.1982, Zainudin 1996).

Protected areas

2500 ha of this area is proposed as Recreation Park .
