Site description

Located around 31 km south-west of Bandung.

Key biodiversity

Non-bird biodiversity: Presbytis comata and Trachypithecus auratus (MacKinnon et.al. 1982).

Pressure/threats to key biodiversity

Cutting of timber and wild hunting (MacKinnon et.al. 1982).

Protected areas

23000 ha of this area is proposed as Wildlife Sanctuary (MacKinnon et.al.1982).

Habitat and land use

An extensive block of mountain rainforest in good condition (MacKinnon et.al.1982). The forest dominated by Casionopsis argentea, Schima walichii, Eugenia clavymyrtus and Trema amboinensis (Anon 1998a).
