Site description (2009 baseline):

Located in the northern part of Guiping City. The IBA is an extension of the Dayao Shan mountains. The ridges have a north-east to south-west orientation, and there are many valleys in the area.

Non-bird biodiversity: Nationally protected animals include the endemic Shinisaurus crocodilurus, and Macaca mulatta, Manis pentadactyla and Moschus berezovskii. Important plants include Alsophila spinulosa.

Established as a county-level nature reserve in 1983
