Site description (baseline)
A complex of freshwater lakes and improved grassland situated to the south-west of the city of Sneek. This site, together with site 062, formed part of a single, larger site (former site NL017) in the previous pan-European IBA inventory (Grimmett and Jones 1989).
Key biodiversity
This is an important roost for geese Anser from surrounding feeding areas. Waterbird numbers quoted are rough estimates.
