Duinen Goeree & Kwade Hoek

Site description
A small area of dunes, saltmarshes and mudflats between Haringvliet (024) and the Voordelta (020). This site, together with sites 020 and 022, formed part of a single, larger site (former site NL046) in the previous pan-European IBA inventory (Grimmett and Jones 1989).

Key biodiversity
An important feeding and roosting site for Platalea leucorodia, particularly those from the Voornes Duin colony (022).

Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The SPA-designation also includes a small part of Voordelta (020).

Protected areas
National Low International High27 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Kop van Goeree, 27 ha). 5 ha of IBA covered by Nature Reserve (Kwade Hoek, 5 ha). 430 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Kwade Hoek, 825 ha).
