Site description
A coastal mountain dominated by phrygana, with a small Pinus woodland. Human activities include arable agriculture, livestock-farming and hunting.



Key biodiversity
This is an important site for breeding raptors and species associated with open, rocky upland areas.



Pressure/threats to key biodiversity
The main threats are from the construction of roads and illegal housing. Part of the area is a candidate SAC.

National None International Partial3,403 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Dytika Asterousia, 3,403 ha). 21,450 ha of IBA covered by Special Protection Area (Anatolika Asterousia, 25,074 ha).
